Cosmetic Dentistry

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns are an innovative and contemporary treatment method, enabling patients to resolve tooth decay and damage to teeth. Porcelain Crowns are a highly effective and discrete restorative method, which appear natural and aesthetically pleasing, since they do not contain metal. This form of Cosmetic Dentistry allows patients to amend oral flaws while enhancing the appearance of their teeth. Dr. Necdet Ozder, DDS and Dr. Reyhan Akpinar, DDS are proud to improve patients’ oral well-being and create beautiful smiles; and through the use of Porcelain Crowns it is possible for them to achieve both goals!

Implant Dentistry

Replace one tooth or a full arch with a permanent, stable foundation.

Single Tooth

When a single tooth is missing, the two most common treatment options are the traditional tooth supported bridge and an implant supported crown. When a traditional bridge is used to replace a missing tooth, the adjacent teeth are cut down into peg shapes in order to fit the cemented bridge in place. This method of tooth replacement can be very esthetic and functional for a period of time. However, a tooth supported bridge does not replace the bone that previously surrounded the root. Pre-Prosthetic Surgery

Preprosthetic surgery usually involves preparing the oral cavity for the placement of removable prosthetics (removable full or partial dentures). Often time a patient’s treatment plan involves the delivery of a removable denture as a temporary or final restoration. Depending on circumstances the patient’s oral supporting structures, bone and gum tissues, may require surgical procedures beforehand to provide acceptable fit, function, and comfort of the denture.

Bone Grafting

Bone loss can occur in the upper and lower jaws for several reasons. Localized bone loss often occurs around diseased teeth due to periodontal (gum) disease, fractured teeth, traumatic injuries and dental infections. In addition, over a period of time the jawbone associated with missing teeth atrophies (bone resorption/shrinks). This often leaves a condition in which there is poor quality and quantity of bone, unsuitable for placement of dental implants. In the past, patients with significant bone loss were not candidates for placement of dental implants.

Orthodontics

Invisalign and braces for kids, teens and adults.

Invisalign

Invisalign ® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you simply wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans out for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile that you’ve always wanted. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
